Welcome to the Benton Franklin Health Districtās Healthy Pregnancies Webpage
BFHD strives to provide support and health education to pregnant people in the community to improve birth outcomes.
Pregnancy is an exciting time, and it can also be stressful. Eat this. Don't eat that. Do this. Don't do that. What do you do to be healthy and safe? The good news is that you are not alone in this new journey of parenting.
The first step is taking care of mom's health before, during and after pregnancy.
WIC (Women Infants and Children) can provide assistance to families with infants and children up to 5 years of age, as well as to women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or whose pregnancy ended fewer than 6 months ago. Visit the WIC page to see if you qualify for WIC benefits.
If you are a Professional working with pregnant and post-partum families, we encourage you to learn more about our Perinatal Collaborative.
