Community Assessments
In 2018, BFHD staff members and trained volunteers conducted the Standardized Tobacco Assessments for Retail Settings (STARS) and the vape shop version (vSTARS) among tobacco retailers located within one mile from any school. The purposes of these assessments was to highlight the prevalence of tobacco exposure to youth via point of sale marketing.
