An updated version of the Benton-Franklin Health District’s Food Establishment Enforcement Policy was placed in effect July 1, 2019. The new policy raises the failure threshold for food safety inspections to 35 red violation points, and will implement a probationary status when a food establishment earns 85 or more red violation points.
In addition to the policy changes, starting August 1, 2019 the Food Program will begin charging for all follow up inspections. Click here to read the entire updated Food Safety Enforcement Policy.
